Granby Marketing Services is one of the longest established response management and fulfilment houses in the UK, with over 50 years specialist experience in the sector. The company has been owned by its current management since 2000 and with 75 full-time employees, turnover in the financial year ending 31st December 2006 is expected to be around £4m.

 We provide a wide range of services from our 60,000 sq.ft. operations centre in Blackburn, Lancashire for a client list that stretches from blue-chip FMCG businesses to government departments. These services include Promotional Response Handling, Order Processing & Fulfilment, Contact Centre, Direct Mail, Contract Packing, Database Management, Storage and Distribution.

Account Management & Implementation

Your project will be managed by one of our experienced Account Managers, who will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, briefing your requirements into the business, keeping you updated with status reports and implementing any changes to specification. As part of our formal feedback sessions, your Account Manager will summarise lessons learned during the project lifecycle and make recommendations to improve processes and the customer experience. Your customers are our key concern and as your “brand guardians”, we ensure that they receive the service you and they expect.

Our service is rapid, flexible and scaleable. We guarantee to respond to requests for quotations within working day and will implement urgent projects at short notice. With over 300 pre-screened casual employees on our roster, we can scale up rapidly to meet your needs or manage promotions which are redeeming above forecast.

All projects, be they large or small, are implemented using the same ISO 9001 compliant process. From the Account Manager’s briefings and other reference materials, our Planners will prepare a highly detailed Job Specification setting out clear instructions for set-up and process in all departments involved in delivering your service. Any subsequent changes will be documented and issued in line with our change control procedures.

With premises equipped and manned to comply with the exacting security standards required for the execution of government contracts, we are able to handle and store your most valuable merchandise. Our skilled production teams will ensure that your projects and campaigns are handled to specification and within the agreed service levels.


Granby has developed its own operating application SCOPe (Stock Control and Order Processing in an electronic environment). Built on a Microsoft SQL Server database platform, SCOPe has been specially designed to provide an integrated system which manages the complete spectrum of Granby’s activities, from response handling, via print production to warehousing and despatch. The system has been fully proven over five years and our own team of developers is engaged in ongoing enhancements.

SCOPe’s powerful database management capability provides a truly multi-channel environment for handling today’s complex marketing activity. However you want to interact with your customers, from traditional mail and telephone channels to advanced SMS text or MMS multimedia communications, we can manage your integrated campaigns. All customer touch points are logged to provide a complete contact history and fulfilment record.

On-line Reports

Need to know your promotion redemption rate or stock position outside office hours? For total transparency, we provide clients with a window into SCOPe via a secure web portal to deliver real time management information. You can access your own comprehensive suite of reports, which are continuously and automatically updated, for viewing at any time 24/7 that suits you.

On-line reports are available in both tabular and graphical format and can be configured by users to display summaries for any period within the project lifecycle. Reports may also easily be downloaded into Excel or printed off.
